Is this feasible - using husband's new phone

I've been offered a good sim-only deal by 3 retentions (£5 per month) but I want a HTC desire phone. They won't offer me anything decent on that - currently they're sticking at £25 per month (same as new customers).

My husband is on Orange PAYG on a 30-day contract. If he phoned Orange and managed to get a good deal on the Desire through retentions could I have it unlocked and use it with my 3 sim?

Is it difficult to get Orange phones unlocked?

We're also thinking of asking Orange about a second contract for me - are they likely to do a better deal than I would get direct?

No reason why you couldnt do that. you can unlock the desire for about £7 with a code from ebay.

About the second contract, you will probably get a better deal on a second line if your oh does it, but saying that you could take a gamble and go via a cashback site and a 3rd party reseller and get better deals for new contracts when the quidco / TCB and cashback by redemption are factored in
