Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!

Wow thanks guys!!
I think it'll work out around £150 a month extra :J which I'm going to put towards the laptop first, it needs paying by May. Also I have a week's holiday left here (holiday year runs to end of December) so I'm going to ask if they'll pay me that, that'll be more to put towards the debts :j
Sooooo happy!!!!
researcher - thanks for that tip... the TV and washer didn't actually "blow up", just me over-dramatising. They did however both finally pack up within a day of each other - the TV had no pic (it's been going for ages, kept flicking off) and it's 12 years old so we were told it's not worth repairing. So we had to get a new one - my disabled bro and sis stay with me once a month and I had to get one for them). The washer needs a new circuit board apparently which is going to be about £60 :eek I'm hoping to have the money to pay that this weekend (been without a washer 3 weeks now... no clothes left!!!)
Thanks for your messages everyone
