Hello all!
I first posted on here a few weeks ago after I found out I might be getting made redundant - I was in a right old panic, worrying about paying my debts with no job.
Went for an interview last Thursday with the biggest firm around here, thinking I'd NO chance of getting the job... they've just rung me to offer me it!!!!! :j :j
It's £3,000 a year more than I'm on here too... so I'll be able to pay off my debts sooner too (hopefully!)
Yaay! That just about makes up for the TV and washer both blowing up on the same day!!!
Thanks to all the fab people on here who helped with my SOA and gave tips on where I could cut back

How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on... when in your heart, you begin to understand. There is no going back. There are some things that time cannot mend... some hurts that go too deep. That have taken hold.

Well done :T
Just a thought. Very strange for both TV and washer to blow in same day, did you experience a power surge (can be caused by a lightning stike in the area)? If so you can claim off your house insurance. You'd have to take TV to a repair shop and get a letter saying why - but the insurers pay this fee back too - but do speak to them first before doing anything. (This happened to us, and it was only the TV that was effected - but it also happened to my parents and they had load more things go - including TV, answerphone, radio, and loads more stuff)
A call to your electricity company with times and dates would be a good starting point.0 -
