After my panic they men never came back so not sure what's happening now.
Most likely re-scheduled for a 2 man crew, original bloke couldn't have done it anyway as he does'nt carry the right tools, cabling & re-instatement stuff like concrete, tarmac ect, as well as pit guards, heavy duty drills ect.
One man crews don't do the two man stuff.
Phone up & see what's going on.0 -
Another thought crossed my mind. I might need permission from the housing association I have the tenancy with because of the drilling through the wall bit. Although Im sure its highly unlikely any damage will occur I worried about this. I did contact the HA a few weeks back over the communal Ariel and they said this Ariel was not their responsibility so I assumed from that I could have my own cable TV installed etc but thought it would be a straightforward job and not a structural disturbance! !

You should be ok.A lot of councils have a blanket wayleave in place that covers all utility companies & if your neibours have VM as you were saying, they do have one in place.
The only exception would be if you are in an upstairs flat & the downstairs one was privatly owned, then you would need a wayleave from the owner.0 -
Most Freeview reception requires an external aerial, not a set-top one. If you have a socket for an external aerial then try it.
NB: there is no such thing an 'analogue' or 'digital- aerial-they're the same thing.0 -
Thanks again for the replies.:j Yes the engineer said most of these flats were connected up to virgin cable. the guy below is also housing association as far as I know.
I must admit Im finding the freeview enough to watch now that I've had an evening of it........but I do need phone and broadband !Advice freely given is rarely taken except on MSE:cool: Dont shoot the messenger:)

Virgin rescheduled for 11th Feb, so. Ive been waiting a total of nearly 6 weeks to get my bundle so Ive cancelled it entirely. Surely they cant be that inundated with installations?
