my dad asked if he could get take away pizzas for everyone for my wedding (i said no thanks), but doing somthing like this is definitely a lot more money saving than the 5 course sit down jobby.
not everyone will like fish and chips, so maybe a chicken nugget option or similar as well... and to balance things a massive help-yourself fruit salad bowl for afters, perhaps also side salad to go with the fish and chips? just ideas. no i'm not a health freak, just feel guilty eating no greens in a meal!:heart2: Give blood. :female: Use a mooncup.
But ensure the two are not connected!0 -
Sounds fab to me! It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if I were a guest at a wedding and they had a fish and chip van!
But take note of what twirkly said about people waiting outside in a long queue x
I like the idea of the fish and chips van, it's different and fun. Definitely think about these 2 main issues: people getting grease on their clothes (maybe plan on having these wet lemon wipes that you use at Asian restaurants), and the line in front of the van. It is true that if you have about 100 guests, they might get annoyed by waiting too long to get food.0 -
thanks everyone for your opinions all greatly received. i mentioned to my dads partner about fish and chips and she turned her nose up so i expected some people on here to do same. im definitely going to check about entertainment and going to keep my options open about food as im still not 100% about it but will keep ya up to date on things.
have been shopping today and have seen a ring for me that was £67 in sale silly question but do you think that's to cheap for a wedding ring ? thanks again all xxMarried the man of my dreams 27/08/20110 -
I don't think it matters how expensive the ring is as long as you're sure it's going to last longer than the marriagebargin_seeker wrote: »have been shopping today and have seen a ring for me that was £67 in sale silly question but do you think that's to cheap for a wedding ring ? thanks again all xx

we are having fish and chips and caribbean food for our wedding breakfast, we wanted food that we liked and didn't want measley portions of posh food that no one really likes!! This way we are providing a hearty meal and don't need to worry about starters. The food we have chosen also reflects our individual upbringings and it will be fantastic and delicious!!!!Engaged 16th July 2010:j.
