  • A lot of amateurs wire ovens in the same order as a three pin plug, such as the cowboy who installed my kitchen. Combine that with using substandard cabling, which melts and exposes the wire inside, and you get an oven that initially works, but keeps tripping the circuit until the cable is melted, when the whole thing is dead. If the circuit trips as soon as you flip the cooker isolation switch, even when the oven is off, the power cable melting is very likely.


    Easily sorted within twenty minutes by someone who knows what they are doing, if that is the case.
