Just an addition to Joemardo1's point. Sky are pretty hard-nosed about this now and you have to go a very long way down the road of cancelling. Don't worry, you're unlikely to actually end up cancelling; if you're clear with them and say that you're cancelling because you don't think this is good value etc. etc., then you'll always get something.

Yes but out of all the channels available there isn't much more worth watching. My sister in law pays out over £60 a month thats an awful amount of money. If you then un subscribe to sky you either lose sky+ or have yo pay £10 a month. Rip off!!!

Freeview and Freesat are totally different to BSkyB in content, so if you want channels that are only available on BSkyB you have to pay - frighteningly simple.
I must admit to trying to get by on the minimum but the channel packages are cleverly spread. Mr Murdoch is not daft.:p

I agree with Nelski. Sky isn't cheap but as it's got no real competition then there's not much you can do about it (except as discussed above). I love Sky+ myself, I watch Sky Sports most weekends, download movies using SkyByBroadband and generally get my money's worth.

  • It's only a ripoff if you do not watch much TV! It is cheap compared to going to the cinema or renting DVDs but that too would be a waste if you did not care for them. If you do not drink you think spending on a decent bottle of wine is a ripoff. If you enjoy it you do not begrudge the cost.

Anyway Skyplus is very good and I doubt you will want to go back to what you had before.
