You can take cold meats, bacon, sausage, as long as they are in a sealed packet with sell by dates on, Cheese, margarine, tins, cereal, biscuits, crisps, coffe, t bags, would need to be in a coolbag, inside case.0

Thomson have zilch to do with it - it's French customs who are interested if anyone is.
I doubt if you will see a French customs officer to take an interest.0 -
Movement of food stuffs into france has got nowt to do with the FSA.
Within the EU you can import/export any food as long as its fit for human consumption, there is no need to put them in cool boxes or have best before labels etc etc.Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
I have taken things many times and never had any problems. However I have never been stopped and I don't know what he regulations are regarding food.0

I also don't know much about the regulations for food but I often bring bread, sausages, salami, cheese, cookies, candies and the empty bottle and never been asked by anybody. But many people said that for cheese, there is a limitation for cheese and butter amount. I'm not sure but I often bring 2 packs of cheese (10 small pieces/pack).0

Take a nice homemade fruit cake. Have a slab apres ski when you get back to the hotel. Take a bag of decent tea bags. Take a knife to cut the cake and wrap in in a tea towel, and stick it all in the case. Yummy, and you'll have decent tea throughout the hols.
I've been doing this years any never had any aggro.
In the summer we take a caravan full of food - cheese, meat, beer, milk - only ever questioned once at the height of the BSE panic, and even then, they were ok.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
