What age to stop kids Xmas presents?

we all give each other presents, my brother requested the year my son was born that we stop buying for him and his wife and only buy for thier son, as he knew we planned on having more children and they only wanted one ? i was a bit miffed by his request but did as was told.
I was even more miffed when i found out that they were still buying gifts for his wifes family, sisters , nieces and nephews and this rule only applied to me and my brothers and any children we had.
Dh's family is tiny, i have been nagging for the last couple of years to stop buying for his 2 first cousins. Last year they got a bottle of wine, this year they will get nowt ....they are 23 & 25 !!!!! they dont buy anything back, (not that giving is about receiving) but thier mum just adds thier name to her gifts, and the eldest is now married !!0 -

Do the same to her then!
Buy her some biscuits and put all of their name's on them. They can all share them

Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
You could always do what I did and when you reach 18 and they decide they aren't getting you presents any more you get pregnant so they then have to get the child a present for the next 18 years instead!! (Only kidding, I didn't really get pregnant for this reason!)0
