how about a shaped biscuit iced with each childs name, bubbles (6 in a pack) from the pound shop or instore (£stretcher) and a pretty hair bobble (for the girls)
another idea is to get plain coloured paper bags, let each child decorate their own with stickers (pound shop) then fill them, they will be so pleased with their creations they wont care whats in them ;)

For something edible maybe raisins or other dried fruits, my sons have these instead of sweets.

Tescos did a lot of party bag items before Christmas, I know the selection in our store reduced over the festive season but sure they will have them back in soon. Lots of little party blowers, toys like mazes etc. Can get lots of wholesale party bag items on eBay, search for 'party bag' and comes uop with lots.

Always be aware of the age appropriate side of toys, if you put marbles in and the child is young or has young siblings make sure the parents are aware before they leave etc. I would also never put a balloon that isn't inflatted in a party bag.
One day I might be more organised...........

When my daughters were younger, packets of seeds went down well. At the time , you could buy 3 for a pound in Morrisons. I used this site for bits and pieces for stockings here
If you phone in your order, you can choose the colours of items. The puppet making kits at £1 were excellent, and would be plenty
  • There's a thread on "Grabbit while you can" about 50 tubs of playdoh for £5. Not very OS but cheap!
