Free traffic management BB package & Phone

Hello people,

I checked my bank account and realised that my phone and broadband cost came to around £90 this month. This is crazy as there is just 2 of us, and we are only home at weekends and evenings. Internet is £23 and the BT phone bill makes up the rest. I am free to change and was looking to save some money. I have signed up for 18185 which should cut costs, but would like help with phone and broad band. I do some P2P downloading from time to time and am frustrated with 02's ristrictions. Don't need unlimited broadband but a reasonable amount of download usage.

Here's the info:

Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line speed up to 2Mbps.Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL Max broadband line speed of 7.5Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 6.5Mbps and 8Mbps.

However, there is another service on your phone line (e.g. ADSL, LLU, DACS, etc) that would prevent you from ordering a new ADSL connection.
The following services are available in your location:
  • BT Wholesale ADSL
  • BT Wholesale ADSL Max

Please select the options on the left for more information about broadband availability at your location.

If you do not have LLU at your exchange then most of the money saving deals will not be available to you.

You could try plusnet, but I have no experience of them.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
