I don't know where you get that impression from, no one is trying to frighten anyone off, all that people are doing is advising the OP and any DIY person to use the proper tool for the job so they do not make future problems for themselves.

However I get the distinct feeling that no matter what you are told you will not listen to the advice of several experienced engineers, I wonder what else you bodge up in your DIY efforts.
