  • We have the Samsung NC20 with the 12.1" screen which we use for web browsing and photo work (we can wirelessly link with our DLNA blu-ray player to show them on the TV). I have to confess I would not want to do loads of word processing on a screen as small as this, its a bit of a drop from the 19" one I use at work, but if you're happy with a smaller screen, its a great netbook. Cost us £299 but I see prices are now £400 plus, so I guess its out of your range.
  • We have been looking at netbooks for a while now, but more specifically to use on holiday, or rather for our 15 year old to use on holiday, it seems a small(ish) price to pay so that he can keep in touch with friends etc (and give me a bit of peace and quiet!) and hopefully get a few years use out of it, Have looked at the usual suspects - Samsung, MSI, Acer and Asus (all around £200 or under) but what about a Lenovo Ideapad (probably a refurb) ?
Also, is it worth waiting until nearer our next holiday (August) to get more out of the warranty or buy now while there seem to be a few bargains about?
    cheers.
