I was never told there would be extra charges though that's the point.

Maybe you should look closely at the full terms & conditions, including call charging for mobiles etc.

Just been on the phone for half an hour. Not only was the man very pedantic and quite rude at times but he then informed me the bill was £187!!! Even though there is a £120 limit on the account. He offered to take off a £30 discount and that is all he can do.

    I'm so angry and upset.

  • " During this call I was told if I make one phone call/ add to my balance after paying this money my services will be cut off again. Now bare in mind I'm being charged for any call I recieve that is diverted to my mobile at this point. Somebody calls my home phone and it is diverted to my mobile, so clearly the call divert hasn't been taken off as requested. Still no call from the manager."

    Hiya

from reading what you wrote above it seems like you have not deactivated your divert , i used to just put on /take off mine as and when i go out or am using my landline and waiting for a call.

this is not a service that is designed to be on at all times.
as you pay the cost of the call.hence your bill.

when call divert is active you can hear a slight pause when you listen to your dialing tone.

deactivate used to be. pick -up handset press *#21#

    activate was #21#

    hope this helps

Yeh it took me 5 phonecalls to get someone to actually tell me what the code was after constantly not being told what it was even though I requested it 5 times!

OP, this is the leaflet you need to familiarise yourself with.

There are other codes in there which you might find useful.

I suppose it comes down to the details of your original phone call - if this was before Christmas it's unlikely that they will still have the tapes, but it's worth asking (they can charge you for this btw).

Did you call to ask what kind of diversion service they offer, or how much it would cost, or did you just tell them you wanted to divert your phone? I only ask because if you said something like 'I've read about your divert service and I want to use it' then the operator could be forgiven for thinking you had an understanding of the terms of the service - did they ever refer you to their website or similar for more information?
