Many people believe FF was rushed out due to IE7. However, the IE team were impressed and sent their congratulations in cake form ....

Apparently the FF team report it was a very nice chocolate cake and everyone enjoyed eating it.

Also find IE7 very slow but will see how it goes. Apologies for mini hijack of the thread but it is such a linked q to one of the OPs - does FF lose your IE favourites or is there a way around this?
Is it easy to uninstall 7 and go back to 6 btw or are they going to discontinue 6? I only installed 7 for the extra security it purports to offer.0 -

FF lets you import your favourites, so you keep them in both programs :cool:0 -

IE7 only feels slow because of the anti-phishing feature. You can see it working, look at the little orange bar graph in the bottom status bar each time you change page.
If you turn it off it should perform like IE6.
To turn it off go to tools -> internet options -> Advanced -> Phishing Filter -> and tick disable.
Of course you might want the extra security of the Anti-Phishing feature for any less net-savvy people using the computer who might fall for such a scam. This can be turned on and off for each individual with an account on the computer.
Personally I quite like IE7. the tabs and multiple home pages are good, and printing pages with frames seems to be sorted.
You might also like to right click on the top of IE7 and tick "use large icons" and "menu bar". Makes it feel a bit more like the old version.0 -
Best feature about IE7 is the "view all your open tabs on one screen" button - wish Firefox did that (I expect it will, soon)Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Try firefox ust for its extensions/themes. I control media player from within FF and have weather displayed at bottom. Also try stumble an excellent way of finding websites which may interest you."Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." My favourite add-on is "Ad-block" which you can use to block those annoying adverts on some sites. Another great one is "Video Downloader" which lets you save files from Google Video or YouTube for offline use.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
