Groupon

I've had groupon e-mails for a while but not yet had a deal that looks remotely appealing.
Some of them seem shoddily put together - eg a hotel in SW Birmingham claiming to be a few minutes from the NEC. (I think Groupon confused it with another hotel in the same chain).
I was hoping for '70% off rail travel' - not a sign of anything remotely like it yet.
It may be coincidence but two of the restaurants accepted Taste cards (which give half off) so the groupon deal whilst good is not quite as good as it appears at first sight.
Probably not coincidence - restaurants that want to promote themselves in this way are likely to use multiple sources to do so.0 -

The Telegraph newspaper do a 'Groupon' now and its been going a couple of weeks - I havent bought anything but the offers so far have all been a bit different - no sign of tooth whitening yet! However they have probably got some varied offers intentionally to get them started and pull in the punters

My experience has been good - I did £16 voucher for sushi bar that got me £40 worth of food - which I shared with husband I hasten to add, I didn't eat £40 worth of sushi by myself!!!Armchair shopper and cook - albeit with a ready meal on my lap and "plates of meat" in a foot spa!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
