We plan on replastering our living room and while the spot is upside down we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do something about our boring fireplace. We have a stove and it sits in a white hole, surrounded by white architrave. Dull!!! A couple of you posted pics of fires on another thread, so please keep them coming. We need inspiration. We would really appreciate it. :j

Cheers you two - a couple of beauties!! We are hoping our breast has some decent looking sandstone under the plaster. The stoves look good with bare brick/stone don't they! Keep em coming!!I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. :rotfl:0

Here's ours, stuck in by myself, about £350 all in inc fireplace and materials. Had it for 2 years and it's awesome and contrary to popular belief, DOES heat the room! My next home will have a stove but we didn't have the disposable when we bought this house, I'm proud of it anyway. Room decorated now, so will find some new pics when I can.

Its gorgeous suisidevw - very elegant. We had a similar one in our last house but the fire was gas. We got more heat off the candles on the grate!! I would be terrified of making a mess with a real fire, I'm clumsy.I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. :rotfl:0

The stove is a cracker! I like the large window, ours seems to have quite a small one compared to that.I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. :rotfl:0
