    You seem to be asking two separate questions - the first is about a bluray player with wifi and the other is about how you'll connect it to the internet.

    you have two options, either via

    1) landline broadband, your bluray player will connect to your router and access the internet that way;

    2) The use of a mobile broadband dongle connected to a PC.

    The first is pretty straight forward, the second... not so... you'll need to have a PC permanently on when you want to use the wi-fi features of the player (I guess watching youtube, catch-up TV?) and will then have to set it up to act as a wi-fi hub for other devices. Also the monthly limits on dongles are pretty low (@3gb) and if you are using the wi-fi features of the player a lot you will soon hit the limit. Moreover, the speeds (unless you live in the middle of nowhere) are not going to be as good as a landline broadband connection.

    As long as the blu-ray has some sort of inbuilt means of connecting to wi-fi you won't need a dongle

    Yep, when you get it, you just stick in your wifi key and away you go!
