Removing Defaults (legally)

Hi there, just wanted to put this out there to help some people
who have had defaults in the past, I my self after checking experian
found I had two defaults from orange mobile, one for £58.00 and the
other for £12.00! Now these amounts are preety small and after searching
online found this website about trying to get them removed, well i though
why not give it ago, now because my defaults was less than £500.00 the website suggest that I send them a nice letter "asking" that the defaults be removed because the amounts are so small and it has a very negative effect on my file, so I sent the letter off, and within two weeks a letter back saying if i pay the outstanding amounts they will remove the defaults, well I must say I was very surprised and also very happy as this means now my credit file has no defaults or ccjs, so hopefully ill be able to get a new car asap! so anyway just wanted to share it on this website so hopefully it will helps others the link is below
Regards
Brendan

Its rare they will remove them, normally need to be below £250 and that they usually do it if they realise that they cant find the paperwork, I asked Next last year and they refused staying it would be illegal to remove as the data was factually correct, I now no longer shop in NEXT.0

Has the debt been paid now?
Ask them if they will remove the default as a gesture of goodwill.
