sainsburys leaky nappies

I've also found Sainsburys nappies to leak and they brought my daughter out in such severe nappy rash that her skin bled. I usually use washables, so I just put it down to her not being used to the chemicals in a disposable.
But I'm afraid I agree that I don't think there is much point in complaining - I think these things are trial and error. It would be different if they were faulty, not joined up at the seams or something like that. I'm not one to let big businesses away with substandard service, but I think in this case it just sounds like they don't suit your baby, and although I am nearly choking on the words (because I hate Sainsburys with a passion!) I don't think this is Sainsburys fault ! Now, don't tell anyone I said that .....:D0 -
You can phone the Sainsburys Helpline number. It's on the back of every Sainsbury product. You may even get some luvvly vouchers!!"When you want something said, ask a man.
When you want something DONE, ask a woman" - Margaret Thatcher0 -

I've used all sorts of nappies for my little boy - tesco, asda, sainsbury's, lidl, pampers and huggies to name but a few. I've had problems where the tabs have come off the side or some have leaked badly (one on the way to Mallorca when we were stuck in a check-in queue) but all in all its trial and error. You buy what suits your child. I did complain about the tabs coming off and received some vouchers for my trouble.
Hopefully your little one will soon be potty trained and then no nappies - yippee!!!!!!!0 -
i wish people would stop !!!!!ing and moaning about products (nappies)
hey even good old fashioned terry towling leak cause a rash so big deal
i agree it is a nightmare when it leaks when you are out but think yourselves lucky what if we did not have disposable nappies

I'm not really familiar with Sainsburys - do their products have a guarantee on them, as some supermarket own brands do, inviting you to send them back, phone them or whatever if you're not 100% satisfied? If not, I wouldn't bother complaining. It's a matter of trial and error to find the most suitable nappies for your child.
I usually took a change of clothes in my son's changing bag when he was a baby too, but he seemed to have more leaky nappies than most, even when we used expensive brands.
I suppose we should think ourselves lucky nowadays: I was reading an old childcare book from the '70s which advised that if you use disposable nappies, you should buy the ones with elasticated legs! They used to make another kind?:eek:0 -

I complained to Huggies and they sent me a £10.00 voucher and saying perhaps my son was allergic to the material to cause a rash. I then wrote back with a photograph stating does this look like a rash as his skin had been bleeding and you could definetly see the cut.
i've got a 2 inch scar on the inside of my leg from the elasticated band of a nappy, which cut into my skin!!
this was 20 odd years ago though!

I would give the aldi ones a try we have gone on a budget cut and they work well even through the night and now my wife prefers them.
but our son isn't one of these kids that has cream on his bum every time he has filled a nappy he gets cream when he is sore or needs it, and I think that has helped him with us trying loads of different types of nappies as he does have sensitive skin to certain soap powder etc.0 -

If you dont want to see people moaning about products why look on a VENT board!!!Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0
