Go to the dealer in person, with pregnant GF if it's nearer the hospital and for extra effect! Take the warranty documents with you and ask them to show you where the fault is excluded from their comprehensive warranty. You could also ask them who underwrites the warranty and for contact details there. Keep it civil, but let them see you're not going to just pay up and let the matter drop. They have given you a courtesy car, so you don't want to jeopardise that.

Did you get the car on finance or pay cash for it?Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

That's the same address I have in the warranty book but it's called Rosesale Finance and Leasing!
It does say pipes aren't included under the misc items but it doesn't mention anything about a starter motor!
Not included:
Brakes and clutch - frictional material where condition is due to wear and tear
Continated fuel - the clearing of fuel lines, filters, carburettors and pumps.
Electrical accessories - radio/cassette/cd units or any other component within the music system. Traffic management system, sat nav, telephone, tv and associated equipment of all types
Misc items - tyres batteries, bulbs, water inbreed, exhaust systems, aux drive belts, ht leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, pipes, brackets, mountings and hoses!
Is an anti roll bar bush classed as any of those on the misc items part?
Worst case.
Fuel pipe not covered as it is a pipe.
Bushes not covered under mountings?
Starter motor and bushes not covered as incidental damage from now warranted items - the pipe?

Yep bought on finance through the dealer. Was told 6% flat rate and then it turned out it was 13.9% apr which I'm not exactly happy about! Told them I didn't know what a flat rate was and that she would have to explain properly but she never once mentioned 13.9% apr! I've rang Consumer Direct and they suggested calling the finance company to sort it out as it's still technically their car and then follow it up with a template letter from their website so I'll be doing that when I get in from work later.English by birth. Good news!
Consumer Direct passed my complaint on to Trading Standards and I've got an appointment tomorrow with them regarding the mis-selling of the finance.
A girl from Benfield who I hadn't previously spoke to rang me today and suggested I rang Renault Customer Services as they may be able to offer a contribution to the repair costs. Rang and told them my tale and they rang back offering to pay £200 meaning I'm left with the remaining £50 which is fine by me because as he said, I'm going to get 3 brand new parts meaning I would be extending the longevity of them AND it could/should be finished tomorrow! I'd class that as a result!English by birth. GEORDIE by the grace of God.0
