50% off a Merlin Annual Pass

There seems to be some confusion with renewing passes under this offer.
We tried to do it at London Dungeon at the weekend and were told by the cashier that we could run the passes from their expiry date in February. But when he tried to print them, it put that days date on.
When queried with the manager, we were told they had start on the day of purchase.
I rang Merlin yesterday who said that was nonsense!

Going to try Legoland, Manchester tonight. Fingers crossed

Tried to renew our cards in Legoland Discovery but got the same thing.

Queried again with Merlin and had this response:

"Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that the current 50% off offer is only available on new purchases with the pass starting from the date of purchase."

Will now be renewing on 15th Feb.

Be careful as I think that this offer is only available til 14Feb. You wouldn't to miss it for one day!!
Funny cos when I called Chessington they told me that the renewal would be from end of the old one...
