Anyone know if there is anywhere up north you can collect from? We are in Manchester and were thinking of getting one this year and making the trip down South to Legoland etc

We bought the family 12 month Manchester lego discovery centre pass a few months ago and it included a voucher booklet with it. One of the vouchers is a free entrance to Legoland Windsor - so if you're only going to the legolands then this pass is much cheaper than the merlin annual passes.

Just spoke to Merlin and they have told me that cant be collected from Alton Towers as it is shut and you can't collect them from the Sealife Centres, but someone has mentioned they got theirs from Brighton Sealife so I called the Birmingham Sealife and they said that although they do not make up the passes there, you can buy a Gift Voucher from there and take it to Warwick Castle to be converted into a pass. Just wish there was somewhere closer than Warwick to get a pass from in the Midlands....

Oh, have I missed something? Does that mean they are available from warwick castle?!

Yes, if you could loubieloula that would be great. I couldn't see anything on their website either but Warwick is definitely the easiest for us to get to too.

  • Spoke to Merlin and the prices seemed to be different everywhere.

Warwick are doing the 50% deal, but only if you buy at the attraction. They would only let you start your pass immediately and not buy a gift voucher to activate later. (Still not sure on this one, going to try again).

Birmingham Sea Life Centre not part of the sale. Don't know if they will be in the future.

  • You can get Merlin annual passes for near enough half price ( 47% i think it says) through capital fm radio station and you can buy them online this deal is only on till 7 feb or until they have sold 10,000. It is part of them raising money for charity.

There is a £5.00 charge for delivery

Its only available for the standard passes

    Hope this helps :)

I couldnt post the link but if you put Capital FM merlin passes into ask or google it should come up with the link with the rest of the info.
  • Thanks to all who post constructively.

I ordered my voucher from them this week. Very quick delivery, paid £85 total (£5 P&P, £5 goes to charity). I have to exchange the voucher for a standard merlin pass before 31 March and if I want to upgrade it to premium one then I have to pay extra £30 at the park. Chessington Zoo is open on weekends now so that's where we are going.
Just a quick note: the number you have to call is not free - 10 pence per minute so better to pay online.
I received a confirmation email from them and got confused as it said:

Thank you for choosing SEA LIFE London Aquarium for your visit. We are pleased to confirm your booking has been paid. Please ensure that your details are correct, particularly your visit date, contact details and ticket information.

Called them and confirmed it was just a generic reply; I can go to any attraction with this voucher to exchange for a merlin pass. Hope it helps!
