Built under Double ovens

@ Bobproperty - it made me laugh...

@ carrie78 - 720mm would be under worktop fitted into a housing. The taller ones may well go under, but not in a housing. Kitchen worktop height is about 870mm to underside. I really think it's confusing too. I had the same questions / problems. Post your link if you wish so we can see which you are looking at.

I recently managed to pick up an ex-display Neff double built-under and now want to install it.

I have some rails which I presume attach to the sides of the adjoining units or a customised oven housing unit.

Is it then as simple as sliding it onto the rails, connecting the electricity supply and fixing the unit?

Do you need to protect the surrounding units from the heat - with heat resistant tape for example?

Any assistance much appreciated

There should be a metal heat deflector at the top front of the oven which you screw into the underside of the worktop. Although the oven casing does get quite warm there's no need to protect the units.
Bridge the gap beneath the oven with standard plinth to match the rest of the kitchen.
