Virgin Atlantic points advice please

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Boston with my wife in the summer and I'd like to make the best use of the various vouchers and points I have, partly through my VA credit card. We'd like to end up travelling at least Premium Economy although we'd consider Upper Class if it looked like good value (does it ever?)

I've got around 60,000 miles and soon I'll have a 'Premium Economy Reward Upgrade' and 'Companion Return Flight Reward'. I think I'm aware of most of the catches to all these things, which is why I'd like to hear opinions of the best ways for finessing the system for the best deal. I know by not being eleven months in advance and having 180,000 miles available there are a few avenues closed to me!

There are so many options, any advice would be gratefully received!
