BTFON and BT openzone

I have more to a temporary flat and I'm looking to get connected to the internet. I have done a WiFi scan and found BTFON and BT openzone access points. But what is the cheapest way to connect to them?

Getting a subscription directly off BY is expensive as they charge £15 for 5 days.

I have noticed that 02 mobile broadband gives you unlimited WiFi with BT, so I buy a dongle will it connect to the BT WiFi point? I'm also slightly confused as mentioned I can find BT WiFi points at my house, but on the 02 WiFi hotspot locator it says there are none in my area?

Does the 02 mobile broadband only connect to selected BT WiFi points or is just the map out of date?

Can't see that pricing on the BT Openzone website, says £26.99?

I have a O2 PAYG MMB dongle never been able to connect to a BT Openzone or BT Fon hotspots. Look on the O2 forums seems to be a common problem uisng O2 details.

A lot of BT Openzone and BT Fon hotspots are just domestic installations, so come and go.
