    Evening all,

Another week where i am not managing to keepup to date with the thread but have managed the Kitchen, LR and Hall/Stairs.

Spent my afternoon with a couple of our less desirable kids who had been excluded from their classes but hadnt done enough to be excluded from school so i had the pleasure of their company - did enjoy taking them both down a little peg or two by telling them that no they werent studs but were just collecting viruses:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Otherwise today I have phoned a brickie to quote for the front steps, veg order received and toots somehow ironing is back up to date - it is def easier in small batches (thanks valli)

I have decluttered the small sized baby cardigan I knitted ages ago for the lady on the parents forum.. she was not at the last meeting and by some amazing miracle I remembered it today.. I am usually completely useless when it comes to remembering anything.. and I remembered it.. all by myself.. I am very proud of myself! Anyway, silly wally asked how much I wanted for it. I said nothing it is a gift and she was over the moon with it.. :D .. Possibly my good deed for the year.

OH's gran hanging on in there still.. drugged to the rafters and it is so sad.. she was frail but with it back in September for OH's sisters wedding.. it is nice she is in a lot of the wedding pics so they have some lovely memories of her.. there is a pic of her on my FB holding Freja too.. with OH and his dad so 4 generations which is really nice.

Excuse me.. Ranting.. feel free to move to the next post

KH has excelled himself once again.. 8:30 he brought the children home.. tiddles was so tired all she could do was stand and cry.. I went to kiss them goodnight and Mimi and Moominwere both snoring and Tiddles wa wittering.. I hugged her and asked if she had had a good time and if she was tired tucked her in hen I got to the door she said KH had been stabbed.. so of course I went back to talk to her.. appparently someone tried mugging him and he refused and was stabbed in the side and, bear in mind this is a very immature 6 year old.. he had shown her his tshirt with blood on it, and his injury!!!!! (it is sticky plastered over) ... !!!!!!?!?! She now thinks he is going to die... why did he not just say he had hurt himself? She is really worried and fretting about him dying or it happening to her because she said the police didn't find the culprit.. .. Just AARRGGHH!!!!!!!!!!! I am all for telling them the truth (like teling Moomin a 'willy' is really called a penis when she asked) but sometimes a little less truth is better (like when I told them the cat had just hurt herself and we didn't know how so the little ones didn't know she had been shot in the face) ... but !!!!!! has he NO sense at all?!

Ok.. I will stop ranting.. He is supposed to be having them next Tuesday.. we shall have words.. and I will be picking them up at 6:30/7ish!!!!!! Or they will be home by then or he is simply not having them.

Oh Piggers there's truth and truth

I too do the correct words type truth (as referred to in your post) but to tell little kids you've been mugged/stabbed/attacked it is totally unnecessary

kids think their parents are indestructible - so KH has, IMO been really stupid here...

parents are supposed to protect their kids and things like this are one of those things

kids wehose houses are burgled can end up with MASSIVE mental issues if it's not properly handled and to let your littlies hear that was IMO TOTALLY UNNECESSARY
in short they did not need to know
    now they will worry
but HE of course won't see the effect it's had

    bloody idiot!
