Hi there all,
I am currently on o2. I wish to keep my phone number and stay with o2 via a new contract via e2save will my pac number work as its the same network? Will I have to change network for this to work?

The harder one works the luckier one gets!

No, PACs are only useable for transferring between networks.0

Hi
Rusty is technically correct however there is away around this !
Get your PAC and a PAYG sim from another network - Orange T Mobile etc.. Port your number into this new network and then port it back out giving you an non 02 PAC
I have done this before. Be careful as some networks will try to make you topup ! I think T Mobile try and get u to do this I maybe wrong others maybe be able to advise better
Hope this helps

O2 are one of the few (possibly only?) network that doesn't require you too do this, take out your second account, call up O2 and tell them you've just taken out another contract and you'd like to keep your existing number, they'll either move your number onto PAYG then back onto pay monthly to keep it or they'll complete a duplicate accounts form which will basically merge the two accounts. You'll be able to keep your number either way.tazdevil01985 wrote: »Hi

Surely transferring in and out is unnecessary? Can you not just ring up and get the number switched between contracts just as you would if you went o2 payg > o2 paym0

I used to have sim only contract (12 months) when it finished moved to PAYG. After I got contract (O2 one) from e2save I called then and moved my PAYG number to contract number (e2save) with no problems.
Hope this helps.0 -
Porting within o2 to o2 does actually work..
But if you're starting a new contract, like said before, start the contract and as soon as you have the new number, call up and they'll transfer the old number to your new one and cancel your old contract within 24hours.
Save messing about with PAC's and going to prepay.0 -
