Lanzarote?

I went to Lanzarote last year 2009 Dec which wasn't that great. We stayed for 4 days. It was Iberostar hotel playa blanca The weather was like windy, no one was on beach, it was a bit sunny but rainy as well so couldn't even use the pool.
The breakfast variety was great in the hotel and we went out on a tour to see the volcanoes and all tourist attraction including the camel ride. It costed us 38 euros each person. I am sorry can't remember the name of the tour company we used but I got the name from from tripadvisor.com.

As already said Lanzarote is really lovely. Has a few nice resorts, in our opinion its much nicer than Tenerife and gran canaria (not been to Fuerteventura) everywhere is very clean, its cheap to eat out (much cheaper than Salou) we had a lovely break.
We were also there in Dec 09, and had mixed weather (sunny bit of cloud, one day rain) but the hotel we stayed at had a heated pool (the oasislanz) I had done my research! so the kids did get to swim. In fact my DD swam in the unheated pool!
I thought that Costa Teguise was the nicest resort, very pretty.

We did the island last year, the Zoo has a terrific Bird of Prey demo, you get real close and personal with some very large eagles etc.

The submarine trip is not worth the money IMHO. The volcano visit is great but its not really very interesting for under 7's, the chicken and bread cooked over the volcanic heat is a treat.
