Can you work more hours so that you aren't as bored?
I am at uni 2 days a week and it drives me mad being in the house on my own, especially when I could do with a chat to someone or just a laugh and a joke..9/70lbs to lose

Some really good, sensible advice here. GP is a excellent idea ad may be able to get you referred for counselling. Also think finding something else to occupy your time (evening class, voluntary work, exercise etc.) and stop you a) focussing on your ex and b) give you time to call the clairvoyants has got to be a good idea.
My final piece of advice (somewhat tongue in cheek:D) is to read this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Getting-Over-Right-Chris-Manby/dp/0340992786
Absolutely hysterical (I literally laughed out loud as had been the main character in a past life) and will make you realise all the stages you are going through are completely normal. Without wanting to spoil anything, the chapter about the cat psychic made me cry with laughter. Hope you're soon feeling better xx0 -
Next time you feel the urge to phone a psychic/conperson, call the Samaritans instead. They are not just there for the suicidal, if you are really distressed and depressed they are also there for you. Free.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -
I'm sorry you are going through this. As for phoning the psychic line up, it is addictive plus most will tell you what you want to hear after you have told them everything. They will tell you he is coming back and that you have to wait for x amount of time and when that time has passed you phone again and it repeats. This is how they make their money by keeping you hanging on. I know someone who rang a bill up of over 4k in one month:eek: with one of these company's. It took her over 2 years to pay it off, so , please be careful. :grouphug:I'm really struggling to get over a relationship that ended quite some time ago. Still think of him every day, still cry several times a week, not interested in meeting anyone else, basically still devastated by it and not progressing.
I started get psychic readings to help me and I'm getting into debt because of it..i watch this tv show and end up phoning up and deep down I know it's no good for me but I've got nobody else to talk to and I'm going round in circles.
sorry I am rambling..
I need help with two things..
how do you get over a relationship like this? what can I do to help myself ?:(
and then the debt because of these clairvoyants and phoning them for 'help' - i need to stop phoning them but it's like an addiction and a comfort when I'm talking to them even though I dont even think I believe in it!
has anyone else been through anything similar?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

Hi Isklar, I'm sorry you're feeling so bad - I'm pretty similar as currently going through a traumatic breakup. I know how it feels to just want to talk about it/him all the time but I'm aware of myself bleating on all the time and don't want to annoy friends and family with it.
It does sound as though you need an outlet to talk rather than believing in the psychic side of things and I'd second what the others have said about getting a referral for counselling or perhaps calling the Samaritans - or have a big long moan on here.
I've been trying to fill my time as much as possible as people have advised you to do - I've joined a night class starting tomorrow, and joined a local knitting group and I've been going to the gym at lunchtimes. It's daunting throwing yourself into these situations with strangers when you're not feeling confident or happy in yourself but it does take your mind off things, if only for a little while. Have a look on meetup.com for social groups near you.
I think weightwatchers would be a good idea not only for making friends but if you can lose a bit of weight and gain confidence in the process that can only be a good thing. Hope you're doing OK.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hope you are okay and managed to sort things through0
