Road tax: 2011/2012
Does anyone know where I can find the VED rates for 2011/2012?
I seem to remember there are some quite big changes this year. I know a few people whose tax is due in the next couple of months and it might be worth buying six or twelve months tax depending on the decrease or increase.
These are the current rates http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_10012524 but I cannot find the rates from 1st April 2011.

According to this site, (if it helps), there appears to be no change.

Last I heard there was a lot of talk that LPG was losing the big tax discounts it gets which kind of makes since when you see the number of LPG cars with 4itre+ engines and the governments likely desire to reduce natural gas consumption now we need to import it.0

I must have been wrong then! Many thanks for the link.0 -
But it is not clear if the concession on Band K rates will continue (> 225g/km)0

Yes several forums i use people are complaining about the price of LPG gone up 20% in a couple of months
they say.
My local used to be very cheap for LPG now 76p litre, Petrol prices website showing lots of garages charging

Perhaps the next Budget will enlighten us.0

They need to change it so more cars are exempt, to encourage manufacturers to keep improving.
At the moment there are barely any cars free from road tax.0 -
Hope the MP is paying for his own Tax, although I suspect it comes out of our over charged tax rates.
Get Mr Cameron OUT!0 -

they dont want more exemptions, they need the revenue off the tax and if some people pay less then others would have to pay more to keep the status-quoBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
