  • just thought I'd add that we've bought 2 suites in the last 15 years and they have both been excellent. The 1st I passed on to my sister and the 2nd is now in our conservatory and the leather has stood the high temps for 2 years.The problem we've had is that they've not worn out out as soon as other suites in earlier years.
    Just be careful on size as they look smaller in the store and can catch you out if you don't check your measurements. Personally I can't fault anything and never have had pushy salespeople at the stores we've used. I always clean mine with plain water to prevent drying of the leather and they clean up a treat.

    2. Their "Double Discount" sale ends tomorrow... the range that we want currently has the 3 seater down from £1098 to £1045, single chair down from £699 to £659 and footstool down £299 to £279....

    Well as predicted a new sale has started today. Prices haven't changed though so you've plenty of time to buy.

    Thanks lyngary, we did think about this. I felt that the 3 seater and chair was too large for our lounge but the wife disagreed. So we got the masking tape out and marked their footprint out on the floor. I still think they are too big but SWMBO gets the final say... :(

    Thanks VoucherMan... I too noticed that as I was on first thing this morning to check. I thought they either hadn't update their site yet or more likely the offer ending was total BS.

    At least we know we can take our time now and not rush into a purchase we might regret.

    You will probably have to wait a couple of months after placing your order, most of them are imported from China. ;)

    Indeed, however the DFS furniture that has a 10 year warranty, is made in the UK, and is of a far better quality.
  • Is the stuff with the 10 year warranty on the website? I can't seem to find it.

    Indeed not all DFS furniture is cheap tat. The decent stuff will not be in the promo "never ending-must end tomorrow" type sales that they sometimes seem to have ;)

    You do get a certain amount of what you pay for. Our 4 seater sofa has lasted Ok but looks very tired and worn now (10 year old) but was one of their promotional type ones

    If you search in the description of each sofa it will tell you the guarantee. The one you ahve chosen has 5 year and so will be the cheaper "imported" range I would guess (nothing wrong with that I would add so aslong as you are aware)

    Yes, but there is only a limited range that is made in the UK.

    Here is an example;
