Legislation for Collars

Ours has surname (could look like a dog's name at first sight though because of what we're called), street name and house number with postcode (because we do travel a fair bit), house phone - mobile phone.
We were told by the dog wardens we needed our name, address, phone number on.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Legally the tag has to have YOUR name, your house number, your postcode and your telephone number. All dogs should have this tag while out in public.
We covered this in puppy classes this week. However, on the back of my dogs tags I also have 'I am microchipped' on the back of mine.0 -
As a vaguely related side note - because of mine's tendency to writhe, wriggle, roll over, rotate 360 degrees while asleep, he managed to get his tag hooked onto the lounge rug the other day. Having caught himself in a headlock he proceeded to snore obliviously through me trying to manouver him to get at the tag and detatch it from the rug... daft dog!
Could have been quite nasty to be honest - however he's never in the lounge unaccompanied.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

One of the reasons ours don't where collars at home....an acquaintances dog got cuaght on a door handle (presumably jumping up) and this very sadly did not end happily.0
