  • Thanks Emily. Hope you are feeling better!!

Well the car is partially fixed, looks like the garage that we had the repair at before put the wrong pipe on. Our friend has got the car going and I can do short journeys in it for now. He is coming back to look at it at the weekend. Thankfully the OH has now realised what a fuss having two old bangers that we are constantly throwing money at is and has agreed that we would be much better with one decent car between us. He has a fairly new and good condition jet ski that he is selling which should raise about £4500 and if we sell his car we should get at least £1800. My car isnt worth any more than scrap so prob about £100. That means we could spend about £5k on a newer car which would be more economical than his diesel guzzling car and still have a little to clear the debenhams card yippppppeeee.
Plus at the mo we are spending about £80 a month between two cars on insurance, about £360 a year on tax and prob at least £200 per car each time they are MOT'd. Just means we need to plan the journeys of the week well ahead and I need to learn the bus time table if I need to go somewhere when he has the car.

Off to see Grandparent this morning (its not looking to good at the mo, they are looking to see if the cancer has come back in a different area), and then off to job number 4 this afternoon. Just been given another days work one weekend next month which is great.

Had a great conversation with the OH last night about my business and he is coming to help me to drop mailers and list companies. He actually understand more than I have ever given him credit for.

Need to do some more valued opinons surveys today in the half hour or so I have left before needing to go to hospital. Wont get much DFW stuff done today as need to take other grandparent for lunch ( but they normally pay as a thank you for going with him so he doesnt have to go on his own.) Hoping for a NSD, as I am not counting the car park as the hospital as that is something I cant avoid and there is no where to park for free near by otherwise I would.

Well better get these surveys done and then get ready for my long day.

  • Ok just where does all our money go to. I went to the cash machine last night and all our money has gone already one week after pay day. Right will have to have a good work out of what is left to pay and how much extra i will earn this month with my additional jobs to work out what can be paid and what I need to pay the bear minimum on. At least I have enough food for the next two weeks.

  • Well things have been an a bit upside down for the last few days with my nan being in hospital:(

On a good note my lil bro has to move out of his place and needs some where to live for a while so he is going to lodge with us for a while so said we would charge him £250 a month including food and he also has to give us a £100 each month for us to save for him. Its a win win situation for both of us at the mo, so even though we lose our space and own time it will be ok for a while. Agree to four months at the most intially and then review it.

On a bad note we went over our credit with Virgin which meant I had to use some of this weeks bill money to pay it in order to get my internet back on line so that I can work. So now got to work out where to get that from.

Think I am going to fall 1 short of my NSD this month but I am quite proud for getting this far. Doing really well on Grocery challenge his week but annoyed that found OH sandwiches in the fridge and that he has taken some money to work. Feel like being mean and making him eat them for his tea, but the dog is eyeing them up as well. :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Well manage to sell three items yesterday for just over £10 so that will stay in my paypal account until I have sold a few more things and have the money to buy a dress for the wedding i am going to in April.

Got to sit down this morning and work out how much money we need to last through till next payday and make sure the money is there to cover all the bills.

Decided to have a relaunch on my business. I have been pretty useless concentrating on it and seem to just be doing small bits and no consistency. Have decided to spend this week getting things ready, put a plan of action together, get my mailers ready and start again from Monday as a relaunch. Going to write myself a day planner and stick it up. I really need to get myself into a routine and then i think I will feel like I am working. Going to buy myself two shirts with the voucher i have from Xmas and get dressed every morning like I am going to work.

Got to clear spare room out as brother is moving in this week, so means I have a reason to have a good sort out and box up bits for bootfair and put what I dont need on ebay.

well off now to see if I have any hidden gems in the bedroom. :rotfl:
