Well just worked out finances for this month and we are short again so that going out meal I just dont think is going to happen. However I may pop into Mr M&S on the way home on sat and do the meal deal. Have found some really nice music on spotify and thought maybe if I made an effort on making the table nice, dressed up for the occasion, nice music and nice meal maybe he would see how much more fun a meal at home is, and I can relax then. Just wish somethimes they would understand a bit more.MAY NSD's

Hi SazzleDazzle
Just wanted to say good luck. We both sound quite similar. I am 30 this year (:(), work for myself and live with OH. I never went to uni but always remember having money when I went to college - even though I only earnt £50 a week. Got into debt when I started working.

Emily we are very similar. I didnt finish my Uni degree due to an injury that wouldnt allow me to finish my course but I always had money till I started working. Can i be cheeky and ask about you working for yourself. Do you find motivation sometimes can be a problem?? or is that just me.:rotfl:
Well noticed that M & S are not doing their dine deal at the mo  so going to have to think up another idea. May look at what Mr T has on his offer.
Off to bank the cheque this morning from job no 3, as well as try a new place for my ink cartridges. Also got to renew my driving liscence whch is another £20 :eek:Thought whilst I was in town I would try to the bargin card shop and see if I can get cards for all the birthdays in Feb. Funny normally when I am in town I would pop into Primark etc but I dont even fancy going in there, i really must be changing.
Then will pop into job no 3 to do some paperwork and have my free coffee. Then back to work all afternoon and catch up from when the laptop broke. Going to work tomorrow morning as well before i go off to job no 4.MAY NSD's

I started a business degree with the Open Uni a few years back but couldn't finish it due to lack of funds.
I definitely find motivation a problem sometimes (I should be working now but am hanging around on MSE instead) but other times I can be really productive. I only went self-employed in April last year after working in an office job for 8 years. I prefer this lifestyle despite the motivation issues as I can spend more time with my niece and help my mum out who is on her own.
I also don't miss the office politics. I still see friends from my old work place and all they do is moan and moan and moan about the job, their boss etc etc. I have nothing to moan about in that respect and it does feel so much better.
Anyway, must stop prattling on. How many jobs do you do by the way?
Also, Tesco do a good meal deal for £10 - it includes main, side, dessert and drink.
Have a good day.

Thanks Emily will take a look at Tesco later. I have my main job which is my business which I call Job no 1, then I collect money for my Parents business which I call job no 2, I am secretary at a local club and get a small donation wage to cover some of the time I spend doing things so that is job n 3, and then I work behind a bar for a local footie club on home matches so job no 4. I have to do the extra jobs to cover my personal outgoings and any little luxuries we want or birthdays etc.
I agree I do not miss the office politics at all, and every conversation I have is them telling me how bad it is. Saying that I do miss the company sometimes, and motivation can be hard, MSE is definately a distraction but then I tell myself its helping me to save so could be worse I could be distracted by the shopping websites.
Well I failed miserably when I went into town. I had to wait 30 mins whilst my cartridges were refilled, though by trying this new way, i did save approx £10 on my cartridges. I thought I would have a wander and ended up buying myself a new top in the sale at £3 which I can wear to my sisters birthday meal, a new vest for sleeping in £1, and a pair of PJ's for my mum £3 which I will put in my xmas box for this year. I also managed to get valentines card, BIL card, Sis Card, Nan card and friends little boy card all for £3 where as normally I would spend at least £1.75 on each card. So really only spent the same money I would have normaly spent by buying new cartridges and more expensive cards but then think its £7 I could have spent on a bill.
Right well better do some work this afternoon, i only 2 and a half hours till OH is home and dinner needs to be on.MAY NSD's

Well managed to get the 2 dine for £10 for tonight from Mr T - Thank You Emily. So looking forward to getting home from job no4 tonight and cooking that. OH seems quite impressed with it as well which is good and agrees that going our for a meal is too much at the mo, thank god for small miracles.
Off to pick up some bits for job no3 and then off to job no4. I am so looking foward to Sunday plan do to do nothing but the ironing while watching loads of filmes I recorded over xmas.
Hope everyone has a great day.MAY NSD's

Well yesterday was a good day. I earnt an extra £10 tip at job No4 so that covered the money I had spent the day before on my new top and pj top.
2 dine for a tenner meal went down really well. I got home to candlelit bath, so had that whilst the dinner was in the oven. Set the table with candles, played the jazz funk music i had found on spotify and had a really lovely evening. I actually really enjoyed the meal where as the last few times i have gone out for dinner i have sat and run through how much it was costing in my head all the time.
Today OH has taken brother to look at car, so have an afternoon putting things on ebay and doing the ironing whilst catching up on films i recorded over xmas. Bit annoyed as I can find the brand new blackberry that I got when I changed my contract. I took it out of the box and looked at it in case I preferred it to the blackberry I already have but cant find it but can find the box. My blackberry is fine so looked on ebay and saw they were selling for about £80 - £100 so going to sell mine. If mine breaks I can borrow the OH. However not being able to find it has made me realised I need to have a good sort out of stuff and am going to spend 30 mins every day sorting a draw, cupboard etc.
Feel like I am going to start the week feeling relaxed and in a much better state of mind. :jMAY NSD's

ok my feeling good and starting the week off on a good night is short lived. OH just called to say that they got lost getting to the car place which is 2 hrs from where we lived and hadnt got there, only for the car to break down and are now waiting for the AA. Well we dont have the money to cover the repairs so if its broken its going to have to wait. RARRRRRRRR its one thing after another. :mad:MAY NSD's

Well OH car isnt going anywhere at the mo after being towed back from London last night. A friend is hoping to look at it today to see if he can fix it (Please God) otherwise if its a garage job it is going to have to wait a while. In the meanwhile OH has taken my car which means I have to bus and walk everywhere.
Got a call this morning to say that my grandparent has been taken to hospital but now I cant get there as dont have a car. Honestly my life is two steps forward and 10 back every day.
Going to work through to 2pm today and then need to go drop off some letters for job no2, which I will have to walk to and walk round dropping off and then hop on a bus to get to my SIL and Exercise Class. I will be too shattered to do exercise class by the time I get there.
Need to work out finances for this week. Have managed to do a food planner for the next two weeks which means I should only need to spend a tenner or so on things like bread, milk etc.
Feeling very down today after hoping to start the weekend feeling bright and cheerful. On a good note I have two people watching things I have put on ebay so hopefully that will sell.
Catch up with you all later.MAY NSD's

Sorry to hear about your grandparent. I hope they are ok.
Hopefully your friend can get the car fixed so that you can get to the hospital to visit them. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
