Who has the oldest cat?
Comments
-
My remaining boy was 17 in May - I originally got 3 cats from the same litter but he is the only survivor and seems to be going strong, no health problems (fingers crossed) still has all his teeth, can climb a 6 foot fence and even does a spot of (normally unsuccessful) hunting. Reading about other people's cats who have reached greater ages gives me hope that he will be around for a while yet
He is a lazy old thing though and seems to sleep for about 23 hours a day!

There is life in the old cat yet! Heard a hissing noise from the kitchen so I dashed in to find my old boy hissing at a young fox through the glass of the back door. The fox ran off looking scared!!0

The oldest cat I've personally known was 27yrs old, belonged to a client and was still going strong when I left the practice. My own are both 20+ now and still in good health“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Our family cat, who still lives with my parents, is 19yrs old and she is the most unhealthy looking cat you'll ever see and always has done, even when she was a kitten, she looked like a breath of wind would knock her out, but she just goes on and on, one of my own cats got to 17 but he had a nasty bone tumor, so had to be pts

Cat2 is at least 14. Has always spent most of the day sleeping, a few minutes eating and will sometimes look out the window. She will lie on my lap when I'm watching TV. Likes to have her tummy rubbed. Touch wood I've never had to take her to the vets outside of the yearly jabs ( bad traveller).0

My old family cat died a few years ago age at least 24 (stray who adopted us). My own elderly cat died last year age 21 - they were both tiny frail black cats but both very healthy. My others have all gone at around 13-15With Sparkles! :happylove And Shiny Things!0

My Dad's cat first sat on my knee, as a stray, when I was 15. I'm 40 in November. She has really bad arthritis and is totally deaf but still asks for everything from my Dad's plate.
My 3 cats are 10,8 and 1. I think the vets should up their age when they consider them to be Senior.
I'm always searching for cheap cat food!
