Has hotelopia pricematched you?

Just looking at hotels. as I have quidco it seems that i could use the hotelopia 10% code and then get 8% cash back. however the hotel after 10% still works out dearer than a) easyjet hotels (powered by hotelopia) and otel.com which is the cheapest, so before i plump for the most expensive sight, has anyone acheieved a price match refund?

from previous experience, aside from this quidco bits and bobs, have a luke at Husa Oriente. The hotel is on the middle of Las Ramblas (good double glazing) and moden. I got a good rate of about 45 pounds a night for 2 excl breakfast (there is a good place next door) from laterooms.com.

Apart from that you cannot get quidco cashback as easyjethotels arent featured, but Hotelopia and others are (try findaroom) mentioned on Budget Flyers link for other hotels as they seem cheaper than most.

If you find a room you like on the Easyjethotels site and it is cheaper on the other sites mentioned on Budgetflyers link, then work out what the double the difference will be. Yes you may not get cashback, but even with cashback, i wouldnt save as much under the double the difference deal.
  • will try find aroom tonight
  • I just thought I would post my experience with EasyJet Hotels 'Double the Difference' guarantee.

Some months ago I booked a room in Riga for 3 nights over New Year for a total of £150.10 with AlphaRooms. After reading this thread and out of sheer curiosity, I checked on https://www.hotelscomparison.com for my dates and AlphaRooms had the same hotel for a ridiculously cheap £75.05. EasyJet Hotels wanted £166. I followed budgetflyer's guide, booked with EasyJet Hotels and put in a claim for Double the Difference. A couple of days later I received an email from EasyJet Hotels saying my claim had been accepted and that a full refund would be made to my credit card after completion of my stay! The Double the Difference amount would have been £181.90 but they will not pay back more than the amount of the original booking. All it cost was a 10% cancellation charge for the original AlphaRooms booking.

Thanks to budgetflyer for the info:beer:

Fab. Just noticed your PM GlennTheBaker.
Does that mean they refunded the whole amount ? If so better than Ive ever achieved. Ive sliced a third (ish) off the price which worked out around 15% better than my best price. Remember, the best price might not meet all the easyjet t&cs, so you have to weigh up the savings from the ones who qualify
    I luv easyjethotels-:p;):money:
