BT New Customer and Very Happy

We moved in to our new house last month and took out BT's Option 1 with unlimited calls. Option 1 was on a special offer of £4.99, plus added on unlimited call at £4.99 a month = £9.98 + line rental.

Within 2 weeks we were nearing our download limit of 10gb and recieved an email to warn us of this.

I phoned the cancellation number and explained that i wasn't aware what useage would exceed 10gb and was very dissapointed this wasn't explained to me when i ordered.
The lady i spoke to was very nice, and explained that it would be in our best interest to upgrade to option 3 - unlimited broadband and unlimited calls, and that she can do this as a special offer for us.

I've just recieved my latest bill, and we have recieved what i think is an excellent deal as we now pay £10.50 a month + line rental, when the advertised price for our package is £28 a month + line rental.
Less than half the advertised price!

I'm posting this to highlight that you can get special discounts from BT even though you are still within contract, or even just joined.

I do now wonder what's the lowest monthly cost someone has got for the unlimited broadband and calls from BT?

Yes, but for what period of your remaining contract does this apply-just 3 months? The you'll be back on full price.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Sorry i forgot to mention that this was on condition of starting a 12 month contract and the discounted price is for the whole term.
I was told to phone again when the 12 months is up, as it then goes back up to full price.
