Well cattie, it's only the thought of your 'virtual fruit-cake' at the next week's tea party that kept me going:rolleyes:

Bit of an expensive one for me. Went out last night and didn't roll home until about 11am this morning (via McDonalds for a unhealthy breakfast!). Only spent about £30 though

Then went and bought some magazines which came to just under £20 and also had a coffee from starbucks. Oh...and £6 on hair stuff from Boots (3 for price of 2).

Still.....you've got to enjoy yourself every now and again :p

Still not got to grips with this Advantage card malarky. I've got a few quid on mine .. can I just hand it over at the till as part-payment (or full payment) for something?

I wouldn't mind a couple of free lunches.
Sadly they will only let you use it as full payment and not as a part payment. A good way of boosting your points is by buying your phone credit there and make sure you go to the machine to get your bonus points. Some machines give you 50 bonus points (50p) if your spend £7.50 or more.

Out of interest, why is it Sunday to Friday?

    Hi there newsmonkey :)

It was my choice :) I was challenging myself every week but left Saturday out as that's a day I like to let my hair down a bit, get together with family and friends, do a bit of shopping and eating out etc. So I prefer not to strictly budget but have a broad budget for it.

When I opened the challenge, we went with that and it seems to work fine so far :)

  • Spent £10.37 but nearly £5.00 of this was on ciggies:mad: .One day I will give up and stick to it! On the positive side kicked my caffeine vending machine addiction after the third day and remembered to take tea bags in.

My target for this week is £20.00 - could do with a couple of belts for work so I'll see what I can pick up in the charity shop or Ebay.

    Good luck everyone:rotfl:

  • Nothing today! :j

Just as well, though - I thought I was a bit flush this month and so paid an extra £60 off of the Barclaycard. Just looked at my spreadsheet and realised why...forgot to factor in £60 for my travel pass, and now it'll have to go onto my 0% card to be paid off next month. So annoyed with myself
