Hello DFWs

Been having a lovely morning making more Christmas cards but still nowhere near done. Still, it's very relaxing and fun for a cold Sunday!
I was beaten to it today but you are not off the hook
We still have to report how we did on the Sunday to Friday challenge and set our new budgets
I did well last week but found on Friday I relaxed and got cakes etc for my team that was not entirely necessary  Anyway, finished the week within budget but must be a bit tighter this week! So I'll go for £15 and try a bit harder.
So here's last week chalengers and I'm really looking forward to the updates, good or bad

Goodness- didn't realise a Sunday paper cost so much:eek:  I gave up buying newspapers when I found mse. I got into the habit of reading them online as the mse saving bug hit me big style. That's £104 per year!!0 -
Oh and my spend. I spent £5.60 in Asda on groceries. Off to do some Christmas shopping tomorrow, so expecting a bigger spend then!0

We buy the Telegraph on a Saturday, the Times on a Sunday and the local paper once a week but read the Guardian, Independent and most others online. That's been cut right done but the weekend papers are a treat and last all week and pretty important for both of us (esp OH who is an cultural historian and needs to keep up with what's going on)0 -

We spent £54.17 which included sending some ebay stuff!
Woohoo! This week I reckon we'll spent no more than £35 as we haven't got any ebay stuff to send! Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I did it:j :j
In spite of the day-long temptation of Tesco reduced price cream cakes I have resisted the temptation to make a last minute dash to their store.
They are now closed and I will no longer be tempted - I still fancy one though:rolleyes:
So a genuine no-spend Sunday :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Stuck to the challenge (ignoring the car :rotfl:) - only spent £3
So £5 again this week
Nothing today so far, but might spend something tonight at fireworks

I think I'll get involved this week. Had a no-spender today, and have tomorrow and Friday off work, so I reckon this week's as good as any to start cutting back.
By the end of Friday, I aim to have spent no more than £50.
Out of interest, why is it Sunday to Friday?0 -
boots refused to let me use mine in part payment said it could only be used as full payment-if you have enough funds on the advantage card!:mad:Seaxwyn wrote:Yes - you can use it in full or part payment.
anyway,
I woke up to no heating, so
£5 gas
ds1 got rushed to hospital this morning (now has an infection after operation 8 days ago! stupid hospitals!)
so £5 petrol
lent £10 OH mum (we are having bonfire party at hers 2nite and she is doing the food-I already bought the fireworks a few days ago!)
Edited to say : I completely forgot, while waiting for prescription in sainsbury's we were asked by the pharmacist to "browse round the shop while we wait"
which we foolishly did!
spent £16, but used £5 off nectar card so £11 (2 packs of nappies are included in that though!)
TOTAL= £31 (but getting £10 back tommorow!)official dfw nerd club member no 214
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
