I think i have gotten answer two out of the grid


but i am stumbed on answer one

any one have any ideas on how to work the answer out

ie read each line and do ,,,

or read blocks of xxx and mark this and then compile the letters

I confess that was the MOST ENJOYABLE competition so far for me. It kept me occupied for 2 nights (thanks to all hints from other MSErs here) and I loved the challenge!
Can you do another competition in those lines? Pleeeeeease..:)

OK, here we go...

From Last Passage: Over the next couple of days they will be sifting through all the entries, double checking the correct and incorrect answers. All CORRECT entries will then be printed out ready for pulling from the hat (we DID say it would be a hat). In order to make this as fair as possible (because we all hate comps that might look as though they were in some way fixed) I PERSONALLY will be loading the hat with the names and picking one out at random (plus the runners up). I will be doing that THIS WEEKEND. BUT... the whole darned thing will be filmed (probably just on an iPhone or something) and placed on YouTube!!!

In the first instance you'll have to watch the YouTube Video to see if you won (and if the video has as good an ending for you as Codex...?) but then the names will be placed on Last Passage's site for instant viewing. A link to the Video will appear both on https://www.codexunlocked.com and on this forum this weekend and the second it's there I'll post!!! The winners will also be notified by email (and for delivery details) on Monday!

@butter_fly I would have LOVED to have coded the winner, but I think you've all worked hard enough. As for another competition in the future... watch this space!!!

One final thing - anyone who's read the book and enjoyed the competition - a review on the site you bought it from (Amazon, Waterstone's, Apple etc.) would very very much be appreciated. I know I'm repeating myself but reviews are very very helpful both for me and for prospective purchasers.

I meant to enter this, but I didn't have time to read the book in the end. Since I bought it anyway, I've passed it on to my mum to enjoy and I'll borrow it back at some point so thanks, even though I won't win, at least I've discovered a new author! :j

They won't know for sure until after the double check, but you will see each and every name going into the hat on the video and we'll publish the figure to the web also. At the moment - and don't quote me on this - I believe it's somewhere between 40 and 50 from approximately 250 entrants. Good odds!
