Hi
I have just installed Internet Explorer 9 onto my laptop and can't find it anywhere!
It said it had been downloaded successfully....it restarted the computer...but seems to have vanished
anyone any ideas where it's hiding?
cheers

Run internet explorer and check the HELP/about and see what version it shows.
If it did install correctly it should show 9.
You could also check in the add/remove programs to see if 9 is listed.0 -
Hi, if it has installed you should be able to find it, depending on which windows you are running, by going to 'add/remove' software and even if it is not listed in there click on 'view installed updates' at the top left hand side.!0

Hi
Its listed...but when I click on it it says 'are you sure you want to uninstall'0 -
Click Start. All Programs, and click Internet Explorer - see if that loads 8 or 90

Believe it or not , last time this happened to me it was because IE was running so slow that it didn't startup, in the end I found that uninstalling all the browser toolbars I had been adding got it running again.I had ended up with about 7 toolbars so uninstalled them all, it started working, since then I re-installed the google and norton toolbars and have had no further problems. It would seem that each extra one you install slows down IE start up.It is asking 'do you want to uninstall it ' because it IS installed.0

IE9 replaces whatever version of IE that was installed before, its listed in the start manu just as "Internet Explorer".
Just open the start menu and enter internet in the search box if you dont want to find it yourself0 -
I've done that davb but IE is not listed in there0
