3 mobile - rude sales staff!
Rang up yesterday to get an offer for 2 contracts with 3. Offered a refurb and a new phone for the same price. Talked it over with my husband and decided today to go for it.
Ring up to check what the best deal is and manage to find a rude sales assistant - no you weren't offered that yesterday, if you were why didn't you take it? He must have been mistaken, you probably would have been overcharged...
Seriously, it was like badgering the witness. I can understand that perhaps she thought I was lying but did she think I'd say - ok then I'll go with your poxy offer (£30 off one bill). I kept saying "thanks anyway but I will wait for better" but she wouldn't let up.
I kept thinking -surely she'll end the call, she knows I'm not buying from her after she's being so aggressive and in the end there was a convenient knock on the door. I mean Wow! If I could remember her weird name I'd ring back and let them know that her customer service could do with improving.
Should I tell customer services about it so 3 can know? Or would they also think I was moaning/lying? If that was my company I'd want to know!

No problem. They have more than 2 CS reps. Try again and you might get a helpful one. Just don't mention the 2nd call and refer back to the original offer.
Remember you want a phone contract - forget worrying about someone being rude to you - it doesn't matter in the long run.0 -
It's certainly not put me off 3 - you get all kinds of people. I just feel like I should inform 3 that someone needs retraining!I love surprises!0

What, like
"Hi 3. There is someone in your organisation with a weird name that I can't remember that needs retraining?"
Regrettably, than profile would not be unique, I fear.

Satisyingly I got a call on my mobile from 3 asking for feedback from the call I put into Customer Services. So I got to tell them how I felt after all!!
I also rang the next day on a different number and was told very abruptly again that I was never offered that, so 3 can shove it.I love surprises!0 -
They not only have poor customer service (looong story) they blatently lie too. I wanted to change contract early, saw a referb. handset I liked, unlimited internet and 500 calls and unlimited texts. Being that I don't go above my 50 minute limit/50 texts each month (yet pay over the odds for it: £15 a month) I know I wouldn't exceed the limit as I just don't use the phone for anything other then the internet.
So the guy said to me, "you know if you go over your limit they will charge you £10 a minute".
I just asked him to check himself and grow up. I then said if he wasn't prepared to have a sensible conversation about this then solve both our problems and send me out a cancellation of contract letter and we're both done. Still wouldn't end my contract early.
Today I finally got the thing ended! 1 month to go!! I got this without the chat about fake offers (last time they gave me an offer they sent the wrong phone, a much less valuable phone with known faults). I asked to send it back they said I could not unless I had tried it first. I tried it as instructed. They then tell me "oh you tried it now you cannot send it back" despite me not even having a sim to try it properly with! I later learnt there was more I could have done but as far as 3 go, don't believe a word of what they promise you as in my experience they lie more then they tell the truth.0 -

You can't get out of your contract for them being rude.
Unless you have a valid reason - and poor reception, broken phone, better deals elsewhere etc etc don't count - then you have to pay off your contract (minus the VAT).
Take a few minutes and read some of the threads on here to see that this is the advice given.0
