  • Also, if you do get bitten - I found that a quick sauna was the best treatment. Its the last thing that you would think of doing while on holiday in Cuba, but it works! Stopped the itching immediately for me.

Take Avon skin so soft, greenish blue bottle, it beats the hell out of the repellants and smells better

I'm paranoid about mossies, so i take a plug in for the room, those new ones that are liquid (like airfresheners) are good you can leave them plugged in all the time whereas the tablet form only last 8 hours. I take garlic capsules and brewers yeast tablets before i go and whilst i'm there, i also use avon so soft the fresh variety, citronella oil dabbed behind my ears, knees, elbows and ankles and i use the deet spray, think thats it:rotfl:. I must say i'm not sure which of these work if its all or 1 but im not stopping using any of it cause i dont want to be bitten. I'm not saying i dont get bitten at all but its usually only the odd 1 and i think thats when i've bee a bit slack and let it wear off and forgot to put some more on. Also i don't think they like the smell of lavender and from march to june i have hayfever and take hayfever tablets which they don't seem to like them also.

I went in july and only got a couple of mossie bites and they usually love me. However it was my own fault as I only got them after being on the beach at night time didn't do it again and I was fine. I did have skin so soft with me and other mosquito repellent
