Hi
Just phoned for my apron. They didn't ask if I was interested in a subscription, only if I was familiar with Good Housekeeping. I said it was my MIL who was.
Very pleasant and said it should be here in 28 days.
Thank You for this.
:j:hello: Never say Never :smileyhea0 -
Just phoned for the apron, I think the nice young man might be Australian.
He evn said,"No worries", when I said "no" to the subscription.Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.0 -

Thanks for this. I've just telephoned and the man I spoke to said it should be with me in 10-14 days.
He asked me if I'd like to subscribe but didn't put any pressure on when I said no.
I don't think it was the same 'nice guy' you all got though. This one sounded possitively fed up. Then again, perhaps the lack of subscribers has finally got to him :-D0 -
Just spoke to a nice enthusiastic women who said the apron would arrive in the next 5 -6 weeks! She didn't put any pressure but did suggest I could give the subscription as a Xmas gift to someone. I almost buckled but said no anyway.
She sounded quite disappointed and I felt rather sorry for her as they must be getting SO many calls with so little takeup.
Still, if GH are prepared to offer something for free without any conditions they should expect something like this.
It always makes me laugh when companies offer freebies and underestimate the interest . If it's free the world and his dog are going to beat a path to their door and take up residence0 -
phoned but didn't think i'd have any luck as i have missed out on everothe freebie i have tried but YAYYYYYY!!!! It will be with me in a few weeks. my very first freebie i can't wait.

Just ordered mine, anyone know what it looks like? Im delighted, and got my 'free' set of Jean Patrique kitchen knives too, all I need is for my Blue cheese (Rosenburg) calendar to arrive and my kitchen life/activity has had a boost after a much needed redecoration. Just wish I could find a free cooker hahahaha, thanks again OPThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.
