Kiss Flights Refund - Still waiting
Comments

Thanks Murkinpair. We got an email from OnTheBeach today saying that they had the money ready to be put back on my card (minus £230). Of course I've got a new card since booking so have to go through another bit of rigmarole, but it's good news - and a bit surprising, as I don't recall canceling the accomodation through my sobs to OTB when Kiss went bust ! We're going to try to get the remaining cash back through PO holiday insurance. All in all, we seem to have done pretty well compared to others.0

Our holiday was cancelled back in August 2010 due the collapse of Kiss Flights.
I received a refund from the CAA back in February for the flights but am still awaiting a refund for the accommodation costs. I took out insurance to cover just such an eventuality with Hays Travel.
I have chased and been advised that I should receive a refund by September 2011. Over a year!!
Any idea who I can complain to about this. Can see absolutely no legitimate reason for a years delay in issueing a refund.
Anyone had a refund from Hays Travel.0 -
Hays are a member of ABTA, whose rules are strict about refunds, when they are due. Not sure whether this is a claim against Hays or your insurance policy in which case you need to take action against the insurer, but if its Hays that owe you money report their failure to pay to ABTA Consumer Affairs, I know others complained about a similar situation with another agent, ABTA fined them £5000 and the refunds came flooding out!0

Has he cashed his refund? My DD was offered the refund less an admin fee, we wrote back saying we would not accept it and if we did not get the full amount back we would be complaining to ABTA (I think it was ABTA, check on the forum who to complain to). A cheque for the remaining amount came withing the week
(This was with Bookable Holidays.) What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Hi
Has anyone received their refund from Bookable holidays for the Kiss flights collapse? I booked in Aug this time last year, filled out all the forms immediately and nothing, I last called them in March and they said they were still dealing with it. Now I try to call and they are busy and says call back.
I don't know what else to do but I need my £800 back, its been 12 month now!! Can anyone advise??0 -
My DD got hers a while back - try putting a comment on their facebook, that seems to get them moving, or write to them threatening to formally complain to ABTA. Beware they may also try to refund you less an "admin fee", this is not what they should be doing so refuse that and again threaten to complain to ABTA, you will get a cheque through for the rest. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
