Dunno. Cut out the middle man and complain straight to the highways department of the local council I reckon. :)

That is what I do. Go to local council web page and always tick the box stating "response required"

I think that's the best way.

My own local council have their own on-line map to report potholes.

It appears to work - ie gets them fixed.

I wonder if the second/third/fourth reporter of the same pothole, gets an email, have you received an injury/damage to your vehicle through hitting a pothole?

I have used the website, and then received a reply from the council asking for more details.

This is all within the last 3 weeks, but the repairs haven't been done yet.
That's my mutt in the picture above.

I notified my council of some potholes on the A1079 in some roadworks a few days ago and they were repaired yesterday! Good job.

The problem with cutting out the middleman and vice versa the potential advantage of using such a site as mentioned is that for someone who gets damage to their vehicle getting information from the council on previous reports may not be easy. Using the website there should be a record on the website that

xxx pothole was xx cm deep xx cm wide and length etc when it was reported to the council on XX/xx/xxxx

So it should make claiming damages easier.

Not really, not if you want to claim damages and help others to claim damages.

    Probably best to do both.
