Anyone else taking Lionbridge Exam next week?
Comments
-
I've just finished with Lionbridge as my 11 months were up and I averaged 60 hours per month. There were periods of no tasks, but they soon passed and sometimes there was more work available than I could find time for.
To anyone who is not sure about having a go, I would say definitely give it a try. I am now working full time so wouldn't really have time to do the work now, but it's been a god send for me in the last year, whilst I only had a part time job.
Good luck!0 -
Anyone know if i am supposed to use firefox for the exam? i know its required for the job but is it ok to use internet explorer for the exam?0

Also, any tips?0

Use firefox, keep reading your notes (it gets easier and quicker as you work your way through it).0

Hi all, first post here.
Does anyone know why UK raters are limited to 11 months? Some people around the web think it is related to some kind of employment law. There are a few people who post on another forum who say they are UK raters in their second year, which seems to contradict.
It's somewhat annoying because it seems US raters can work for as long as they are required (some being being with Lionbridge for 5 years).0 -
Just a little confused about the comments part of the exam, i know it says dont leave any comments, but what about spam?0
-
Just want to make sure because instead of leaving it empty.0

Fairly sure that it is marked electronically so comments would just confuse the system!0

Applied for Lionbridge in January. Every so often I get a 'we are still considering you' email, last one was a few days ago.
Is this normal? How long does it take usually? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I also replied early in the year and have now had 3 of these emails saying they are excited to consider my application and that i need to wait. It's a long time wondering if they are waiting for enough people to finish their 11 months before taking on new ones. Has anyone been sucessful after all this time??
I would say do not put off applying for other jobs as you may miss out on a permanent contract somewhere, see this as a bonus if you get it, not relying on it soley.Hopeful optimistic.0
