  • Hello everyone I just passed the new Lionbridge Exam and it was a lot harder than I expected.

it actually took me all 3 attempts before I finally passed.

the problem is even if you follow the guidelines to a tee there is an opinion factor that comes into play.

I can't post details about the test in the open forum but if you need help passing the lionbridge exam send me a private message or email

    good luck everyone

Well, I'm a bit alarmed. I've gone from 5 stars to 3 this month (the only difference from last month I can think of is that I did no quizzes etc this month), and now in a brief period of NRT, just took 3 quizzes and did not pass any. Seriously hoping they don't take these into account :(
Hi I have gone from 4 stars to 3 this month, only difference really is slightly less hours cos of the NRT.......

on average how many hours are you guys working on this project in the week?
It can vary, I did almost 20 hours last week, but had a wide variety of tasks. I've not yet done 10 so far this week, despite having a week off work - but that's down to there only being about 3 different types of task available - the work's been there, I just haven't much been able to face it.

You can sometimes do a couple of hours in one sitting, other times just 20 minutes or so.
  • Hi all! I have started on part 1 this evening. So far not too bad although definitely requires concentration! Had to shut my laptop down as after reading and staring at a screen for three solid hours, my eyes were closing. Really hope I can pass. I've lost two exam days though as they sent it the day before I had to go to a funeral that wasn't near home, so I just hope I haven't cut it short for myself. Tomorrow I have the house to myself all day so I can get a lot done, however Tuesday I have a four year old to contend with. I've had a quick look through this read, but without having to read it all, what have others found with regard to time spent on the exams?

    Thanks in advance x

I found that it seemed insurmountable when I first started working through it, thought I'd never get it finished, but it got easier and faster as I worked through it (especially the second part) I think they say allow 10 hours or so for it - I might have gone over that but not by much.

    Good luck with it!

Thanks for that. I've passed part one which I spent loads of time on (well, around 9 hours). It did seem never ending! On to part two now and I'm finding it easier than part one, although I guess that just comes from reading everything and making a lot of notes!

Good luck to anyone else. It is daunting at first!
  • New here, I just finished my part 2 exam for Lionbridge and I really hope I passed but I doubt it because it seemed too easy and I don't think did a good job with the spam. Anyone complete the second part quickly and pass? I feel so dumb now.

Hi, I've just submitted my application but i keep reading about people being given their marching orders. Is this common practice?? I don't want to get used to extra money coming in if they are likely to give me the boot a few months down the line.

You get marching orders after 11 months (Contract expired) or if your not meeting the quality guidelines.

Seriously?? Do they not renew contracts then? I'm really shocked that they do that. Can you reapply after they have cancelled your contract?
