I've never seen anyone be able to reapply, nor work past the 12 months. Someone suggested that maybe working rules changed after 12 months and they didn't want the hassle, but i've not seen anything concrete about that.

It may be possible to apply for a different post (ad assessing etc), but I'm not sure.

Seriously?? Do they not renew contracts then? I'm really shocked that they do that. Can you reapply after they have cancelled your contract?
It's to do with them been seen as a permanent employer after that time, which brings responsibilities to them (Tax, NI, redundancy etc) that they don't want to deal with.

what actual benefits are you owed if you work more than 11 months?

I was just recently let go after 11 months :( I did read before someone who managed to reapply after a year or so. I wouldn't mind working for Lionbridge again, but I love having my free time back!
  • I got the job! Hurray! To the person who asked about finding part two easy, I found it very easy and thought I must have done it wrong but it isn't as complicated as it seems.

Well done to you too. Mine took ages and longer than I expected.
  • Hi guys I remember reading on here someone mentioning that during half term when the kids are off this tends to be when we experience NRT or have minimal tasks.
It just occurred to me that during the summer my kids will be off for 6 weeks, I hope this doesn't mean there's gonna be no tasks from July to September. If any of you have worked for LB over the summer holidays can you shed some light on that if possible?

    Thanks

Don't worry. That wasn't the case last year.
